In a welcome break from their Christmas shopping and other festive preparations, KT students came together and divided into teams last Saturday morning to battle for the prize in this year’s annual Keep Talking Pub Quiz, organised and compered, as always, by Alan.

The idea of the pub quiz originated in the 1970s and is extremely popular in Britain. It’s thought that there are about  22,445 regular weekly pub quizzes in the UK. Teams of pub patrons compete in teams to answer questions on general knowledge, music, sports and so on, and the winners usually receive a cash prize. At the KT version on Saturday, the winning team shared in a prize of chocolates and “I London” pencils 😀 and the losers were given a “booby prize” of a sponge 😀 😀 .

As you can imagine, fun was had by all!

The next KT Workshop will take place with Damien on 20th January and will deal with the sticky subject of English spelling…

See you there!
